Legal education and training to identify weaknesses in the law and take remedial action. Human rights workers and staff of various organizations and their own institutions are given training to acquire knowledge about the law. The Foundation has its own information and public relations and press cells, which are manned by well-trained staff. By publishing reports on various cases and investigations of human rights violations, BHRF draws the attention of concerned authorities to take more effective steps to prevent human rights violations. Actions taken on human rights violations are publicized through national dailies and weekly newspapers.
BHRF conducts human rights and legal affairs through four divisions of the organization. The divisions are – Legal Affairs Cell, Investigation Cell, Training and Documentation Cell and Advocacy Cell. Bangladesh Human Rights Foundation has archive cell for BHRF members, researchers, social workers, students and lawyers to collect information on human rights issues and sensitive events.
The organisation’s own Human Rights Force investigates alongside the police to gather accurate information. Influential criminals hide information or cover up incidents by threatening the victim or sometimes using the police in exchange for money.
The Foundation then conducted its own investigation team into human rights violations to uncover the truth. The investigation team of the Foundation helps in the investigation of the facts sometimes through the relevant investigative authorities of the government or directly through the courts. The investigation team collects and preserves the details of the incident, drawing sketch maps, evidence. Investigation reports are sometimes published in newspapers.

আইন শিক্ষা এবং আইনের দুর্বল দিক সমুহ চিহ্নিত করে সেই বিষয়ে প্রতিকারের পন্থা বের করে বাস্তবায়নের পদক্ষেপ গ্রহনের প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হয়। বিভিন্ন সংগঠন ও নিজস্ব প্রতিষ্ঠানের মানবাধিকার কর্মী ও স্টাফদের আইন বিষয়ে জ্ঞান অর্জনের প্রশিক্ষণের ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা হয়। ফাউন্ডেশনের নিজস্ব তথ্য ও জনসংযোগ এবং প্রেস সেল রয়েছে, যা সুদক্ষ কর্মী দ্বারা পরিচালিত হয়। মানবাধিকার লংঘনের বিভিন্ন মামলার ও তদন্তের রিপোর্ট প্রকাশের মাধ্যমে বিএইচআরএফ মানবাধিকার লংঘন প্রতিরোধে আরও কার্যকর পদক্ষেপ নিতে সংশ্লিষ্টকর্তৃপক্ষের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করে। দেশের জাতীয় দৈনিক ও সাপ্তাহিক পত্রিকার মাধ্যমে মানবাধিকার লংঘনজনিত ঘটনা সম্পর্কে গৃহীত পদক্ষেপ- সমূহ প্রচার করা হয়ে থাকে।
বিএইচআরএফ মানবাধিকার ও আইন বিষয়ক কর্মকান্ড পরিচালনা করে প্রতিষ্ঠানের চারটি বিভাগের মাধ্যমে। বিভাগ গুলো হলো – আইন বিষয়ক সেল, তদন্ত সেল, প্রশিক্ষণ ও ডকুমেন্টেশন সেল এবং এডভোকেসি সেল। বিএইচআরএফ সদস্য, গবেষক, সমাজকর্মী, ছাত্র-ছাত্রী এবং আইনবিদদের জন্য মানবাধিকার বিষয়ক ও স্পর্শকাতর ঘটনা সমূহের তথ্য সংগ্রহের জন্য বাংলাদেশ হিউম্যান রাইটস্ ফাউন্ডেশন এর আর্কাইভ সেল রয়েছে।
সংগঠনের নিজস্ব ‘হিউম্যান রাইটস ফোর্স’ পুলিশ পাশাপাশি সঠিক তথ্য সংগ্রহের জন্য তদন্ত করে থাকে। প্রভাবশালী অপরাধীরা ভিকটিম পক্ষকে নানাভাবে হুমকি দিয়ে অথবা কখনো পুলিশকে অর্থের বিনিময়ে ব্যবহার করে তথ্য গোপন করে বা ঘটনা ধামাচাপা দেয়।
তখন ফাউন্ডেশন মানবাধিকার লংঘনের বিষয়ে নিজস্ব তদন্ত টিম দ্বারা ঘটনার সত্যতা উদঘাটন করে থাকে। ফাউন্ডেশনের তদন্ত টিম দ্বারা তথ্য উদঘাটনের মাধ্যমে প্রকৃত ঘটনা কখনো সরকারের সংশ্লিষ্ট তদন্তকারী কর্তৃপক্ষের মাধ্যমে বা সরাসরি আদালতের মাধ্যমে বিচার প্রক্রিয়ায় সহায়তা করে। ঘটনার বিবরণ, স্কেচম্যাপ অংকন, আলামত সংগ্রহ ও সংরক্ষণ করে থাকে তদন্ত দলের। তদন্ত রিপোর্ট কখনো পত্রিকায় প্রকাশ করা হয়।
